Paddle princess has bath snacks, and she sits in the bathtub for two hours and drinks her wine and takes a bath. And I'm like It is a thing when I take a bath, okay?
SPEAKER_05I have my little snacks, I have my glass of wine. Sometimes I will bring the bottle of wine into the bathroom so that I can refill my wine glass.
StephanieShe sent me a picture of her snacks and it she had three dipping sauces.

StephanieNot the other ones.

Kitchen Talk
GuyYeah. Now let's get into it. I had something I was thinking about here. Things that people like to do, or that you see groups of people congregate. Now, this I mean, I don't want you to say pickleball. Pickleball is not what I want you to hear. But things that people congregate around, and everybody seems to love it, but you're convinced at least half of them or don't want to do it.
StephanieOkay. Um I'm gonna go with high rocks. Oh because look, I'm sorry. I support you, I think it's awesome, but you you running and then you push a sled and then you run some more, then you throw some shit, then you run again. And I just I don't know if everyone's thinking this is fun.
GuyYeah, you had that loaded up pretty quickly.
StephanieYeah, she's ready to go for that. That's one of my I got a lot of them.
GuyWell go let me hear let me hear another one.
StephanieYeah, uh okay. Well, how about just running in general? Yeah.
SPEAKER_05I don't get people who like to run.
StephanieLike, I'm about to go do my 15 miles today. What?
GuyYeah, no. Uh the one is who I I get a runner's high after like the fifth mile.
StephanieI've never I've never made it that far in running to get that high. No. I'm like, no. I guess you guys aren't gonna agree with this, but people who eat sushi, I feel like do you really like it or are you just trying to be a sushi person? I love sushi.
GuyI like that. I like that. One for me, uh, I kind of like it, but I also I don't think as many people like it as they as they say they do. Camping. Yes, tent camping, especially.
SPEAKER_05Oh no, I'm not gonna tent camp, but get me an RV that has conditioning and a shower and um some kind of television. I'm there.
GuyI need internet, yeah, and I'm good to go. Because you see, you know, when our kids were younger, uh, our son, we saw it with the Boy Scouts. Well, we're gonna do a jamboree. Oh, okay. I'm like, okay. But we did. We we went that one time along the riverbanks and we got a big tent and I had cots and I had a mini like little air conditioner kind of thing to blow on me in there. Uh we had I, you know, I'm I'm kind of a standoffish person anyhow. We had we were self-sufficient. I didn't need to join the group.
StephanieI would say mine would probably be this is personal experience, saunas. So I think a lot of people and cold plunges, those kind of two things together. Like so many people like encourage it and you should do it, and and I and they make it sound like they really enjoy it. And I think there's just a point where you can say, hey, this is really good for you, but I don't really care for it. And that would be for me, would be cold showers. I know they're great for you. Uh they're not fun. They're not hate cold showers. Like I hate that angry.
GuyPeople use it as a punishment.
StephanieAnd then saunas, like today in the sauna, I literally was talking to this lady. I was like, just keep talking to me so I make it to my 15 minutes, please. Oh, yeah, no.
SPEAKER_05Like it is so hot. Yeah, while you're in there, I'm in the tanning bed and relaxing. I'm just getting my red light therapy.
StephanieDo people really like it or do they just like the benefits? They tolerate it. Yeah. They tolerate. Um, I can't do either.
GuyOne for me, uh, and we'll probably get people don't come at me in the comments, you know, because I really don't care. I'll delete them. Jazz music.
StephanieOh, I do like jazz music. I like jazz hands.
GuyYes. Yeah.
StephanieI like jazz music. Jazz flute. I dabble.
GuyOh, yeah. Yes, flute. Yes. Jazz flute? Yazz flute, yes. I mean, some of it's okay, but I think there's a whole culture around it. And people, I th I think you're I think you're pedantic. I don't think you really like it that much.
SPEAKER_05I think you'd have to be immersed in the culture to fully understand and appreciate the art of jazz music. I like some jazz music. I do. I really enjoy jazz.
StephanieI just uh okay. I have one for the ladies. Okay. All the ladies. Thongs.
GuyI don't think anybody likes those. I do.
StephanieI said the ladies. I don't think anybody is like, yeah, this is what I want to wear.
GuyCisco loves them. Okay. Yes, Cisco does. Cisco loves them.
StephanieI'll leave my opinion out. You like them? That's all I wear.
GuyOh, okay.
StephanieI didn't say people don't wear them.
GuyWe just learned something about paddle prints.
StephaniePeople don't wear them. I don't think people are like, these are the most comfortable thing in the article.
SPEAKER_05I cannot wear regular undies because they they're they're so uncomfortable.
GuyCheck our socials. We'll put a picture up.
SPEAKER_05Whail tail. I know this is a little TMI for everybody out there, but no, just I for me, I that's all I can wear. That's the only thing that is comfortable for me.
GuyYou don't have to come to our socials. You can go watch Megan V Stallion's newest video. You'll see plenty of thong.
StephanieUm I okay. I would also have to go with small talk because I think sometimes when you meet people and there's small talk, like sometimes I'm like, just I don't want to do that. Just tell me what's wrong.
GuyJust tell me what's small people talk.
StephanieYeah. Like, let's get to the point. Let's get it. Like when you're I'm I'm looking at somebody and I'm like, just tell me what's wrong with your tooth.
GuyWhy is your tooth dead?
StephanieLike, I like why are we talking about small talk when all I want to do is figure out what's wrong with your thing?
GuyYeah. Yeah. Another one for me is IPAs.
SPEAKER_05Yeah. I have like tried so hard to like an IPA. I don't like them. And I think that people just drink them because it's different. And people are like, oh, I drink IPA. Yeah. It's like cultural.
GuyLike, in Colorado, in Austin, it's big too.
SPEAKER_05There's all like the craft IPAs, and you're gonna be with like the big guys.
GuyIt's just it's it's gotta be stout. I mean, you can't see if it's if you can see through the glass, you know my thoughts.
SPEAKER_05It's not I still don't even like those. Like, I don't get Guinness.
GuyLike I I mean, IPAs is like uh like a pine tree had sex with a grapefruit. It's just disgusting.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, the flavors don't mix. It's like, what are you what are you trying? You're doing too too much. Too much.
GuyNo, and nobody you're hazy IPA. Get that get out of here. Stay in Austin.
StephanieRight? I I think I'm gonna go with watching golf. Like, do like I know a lot of people do, but it's like, come on, it's so boring.
SPEAKER_05I like to watch it when it's like the masters. Like, I like to watch the masters because I know that it's a lot of things. I don't even know what that is. Like, I mean, I know it's like the World Cup of golf, but that's like that's all that I like to watch. Like if it's a random day and I am flipping through the channels, I'm not putting on the golf channel unless I need to be put to sleep. Other than that, I'm not watching golf. But there's a ton of people out there. Yeah.
GuyYeah. I I I can't.
SPEAKER_05That's just not my thing.
GuyI can go with golf. But like the long drive contest or you know, the upper the upper crust of, like you said, the masters. I want to see the best of the best. I want to see the Super Bowl of golf. Yeah, I don't want to watch just regular golf or horse horse racing. I don't want to see that either. Uh, a lot of people do that, Kentucky Derby stuff.
StephanieI think my last one is gonna be relaxing in the bath for a long time. Oh, here we go.
GuyShots fired. Shots fired at the thong girl.
StephanieI I love relaxing in a bath, but I can make it 20, maybe 30 minutes before I'm either irritated. No, but paddle princess has bath snacks, and she sits in the bathtub for two hours and dips her chicken nuggets and dippy dips and drinks her wine and takes a bath. And I'm like, I want to relax, get my muscles, you know, taken care of, and get the hell out.
SPEAKER_05No, my muscle taken care of. It is a thing when I take a bath, okay? I do all the bubbles and mess muscles. I do all of them. I have all of my candles set. I have my um electronic candles just to set the ambiance, but no, I have my little snacks, I have my glass of wine. Sometimes I will bring the bottle of wine into the bathroom so that I can refill my wine glass.
GuyYou're a slow cooker. You're in a slow cooker.
SPEAKER_05She is a I will when the water gets cold, I'll drain it halfway and refill it with hot water.
StephanieShe sent me a picture of her snacks and it she had three dipping sauces.
SPEAKER_00Oh my gosh.
StephanieSet up on her bath with her mozzarella sticks and chicken nuggets, and I'm thinking, are you aren't your hands soggy? Like, what are you doing?
SPEAKER_05No, my hands don't really go in the water because I I keep them on the sides of the bath and I just relax. And then I always have a towel on the edge of the bath to where if my hands do get wet, I can dry them off.
StephanieWell, yeah, I think I think most adults do that. Because I want to get it.
GuyOr a towel to wipe your hands with all the green.
StephanieNot so I don't do that, you know, so I can read a book and then turn the pages, not so I can go get my mozzarella stick.
SPEAKER_05Well valid. But like when we built our house, I had to sign a waiver from the builder saying that I wouldn't sue them because I had a TV put in on the wall in my bath. I hope that shit never falls. So it's mounted on there so that I can watch TV and I can watch a movie while I'm sitting in my jetted tub.
GuyLike it is with her toaster.
SPEAKER_05It's one of the few things that I do that is just for me, and no one can come in there and annoy me. No one can mom mom mom. If I mean I don't know if I want to have my phone, I don't have to work.
StephanieI just don't know how you do it.
SPEAKER_05But I also get really creative. So I made like five different social media posts while I was sitting in the bathtub and I was just do do doing my own little thing, editing videos, and it was it's nice. That's what I like to do. Just sit and get all wrinkly.
GuyTell us your group activity you don't think people really like. Maybe you're a group activity.
SPEAKER_05Bathtime is not a group activity. I just want to clear that up. It could be if you play your cards right.
GuyOh, yeah, with that song on for sure.
StephanieAnd the nuggets. And the nuggets.
GuyOh my god. Get all up in our socials. Tell us what you think. If you laughed, if you love it, uh if you have a group activity that you hate, just let us know. Listen, I just want to say you guys have been great with the fan mail lately. This mailbag is filled
Fan Mail
Guyup almost. Uh, Dr. Joe Jocko said this. I don't know what kind of doctor he is, but Joe Jocko said this. Huge fan of how you ask questions with your guests and actually give them space to answer. That one's about me, Dr. Joe. Thank you so much. And this is an educated man, folks. So, Dr. Joe, thank you so much. You can be shouted out and give us some fan mail if you want to. Get all up in our socials. We even also have the electronic mail email for you all out there that want to do that. It's open 24 hours a day.
Just the Tip
SPEAKER_05Just the tip. Just the tip. Quick pickleball wisdom in and out before you knew it. Your return doesn't need to be impressive, it needs to give you time to get your booty to the kitchen, deep, high enough for time, and move forward.
GuyThat's my motto in the bedroom.
SPEAKER_03Just the tip.
GuyIt's time for pickleback.
Pickle Pals
GuyWell, certainly another fun one for me. Our guest today is a PhD in sports psychology and has trained the mental game for ESPN, the U.S. Air Force, NASA, Maria Oprah, and Olympic athletes, just to name a few. Her whole philosophy comes down to the one line that flips everything you think about nerves on its head. Pressure isn't the enemy, it's a performance enhancer. I like that. And here's the thing you don't need to be an Olympian to use this. This is going to be something you can put into your game immediately after this episode. You just need to be someone who steps onto a court and wants to show up as your best. Thank you so much to Dr. Haley Perlis for being on the Big Dink Energy Podcast.
SPEAKER_02Uh thrilled to be here. We've had so much fun already. You've got a lot to lot to say. So I'm uh eager to listen and see if I can offer a few tips.
GuyYou know, I have a lot of insights on a lot of things that go absolutely nowhere and mean absolutely nothing. According to my wife, anyhow. So yeah, this is this is awesome because I I like the psychology game. You know, I'm a big uh, I don't know if you know Chris Voss from the FBI fame. He's a negotiator. I love his Never Split the Difference. And I'm a big in the law enforcement world, I'm a big brain psychology guy, upper, lower, and all that kind of stuff. And so and pickleball is one of those things too, where you know, if we we need to get out of our own way sometimes. We think that we're being crushed or something's happening to us, and we get so much into our minds that we forget to have fun sometimes and we and we lose where we are. So, you know, your whole philosophy is embrace pressure as a performance enhancer. Let's just dive into that right away.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I don't look at pressure as the enemy, I look at it as the invitation. So, what's pressure inviting us to do? And on the pickleball court, for me, uh well, I'll I'll share, I'll share a story. Uh I got I started playing pickleball with my husband, just the two of us. So we would just get out and rally, and we both grew up in tennis. He was a competitive tennis player too, but with his body, he was caught in an avalanche and a couple of bike injuries. So he can't really swing the tennis racket. So we wanted to get on the court, and that was how we got injured. We that's how we introduced ourselves to pickleball. And so it was just the two of us. But then where we live every morning from nine to eleven, you know, people go and they do pickup. You put your paddle in, and then you, you know, then it's a pickup game for two hours. And that makes me nervous playing with strangers.
SPEAKER_00Okay.
SPEAKER_02Coming from, and I know I'm a sports psych, but that in and of itself makes me nervous. And I mustered up the courage and I got out there and I thought to myself, what is pressure inviting me to do? Pressure is inviting me to see if I can stay focused, even though I'm I'm don't know these people because I'm even though I'm a public speaker and a coach, I'm rather introverted. I stay, I stay close to the people I know. So I strangers make me a little nervous. So pressure was inviting me to see if I could stay focused and just, you know, focus on my pickleball skills amongst people that I don't know. And when I make a mistake, immediately reset because I don't want to dwell on my mistake because I've got someone who I don't know who's relying on me to again be present. So I was using pressure as an invitation to actually work on some of my own concentration skills.
GuyWow. Okay, I like that. Now you're really speaking my language here because I have I have a military background too, and some of the stuff I deal with is anxiety. And I'm an introvert. I like to be in my space, locked down. I know where everything is. I can, if it's pitch black, I can do everything I need to do, you know, those kind of things. And and pickleball was one of those things too, especially because I'm a law enforcement officer in the local area. Man, who am I getting on the court with, right? Uh, and what do I have to watch out for? And and you're right, that pressure is there for introverts like us, and maybe some of those extroverts that are kind of lean towards introvert because I it's scary, right? I don't know what I'm doing, maybe, or that someone's gonna judge me. Those are just some of the things that I think a lot of a lot of the newer players and the rec players deal with too. So what what's really happening in the body when they feel those nerves um before, you know, going on to the court for the first time or doing it doing their first tournament? And then how can they flip that from maybe threat or fear to fuel?
SPEAKER_02You got it, right? That turn that threat into a challenge. So our thoughts, which is really this our stories, that's gonna create that emotion of anxiety. You know, that thought is going to have an impact on our emotions, and those emotions are going to alter our physiology, muscle tension, skin conductance, heart rate, neurotransmitters and chemicals in our body, and then that influences our behavior. So when we're embracing anxiety as a threat, and anxiety is the emotion of uncertainty. We just don't know what's gonna happen. And so when we're when the story is something that we consider to be threatening, just think about your body contracting.
GuyRight.
SPEAKER_02We call it bracing. It's like your tricep and your biceps stress at the same time instead of one stressing while the other one's relaxing. That's how it's supposed to work, but everything just gets tense at once. So now we're contracted. Well, that's a very hard to get our paddles where our paddles need to go. It's very hard to get your feet to run up, you know, or or run back, or to, you know, or even our minds get frozen. So we don't know when to lob the ball, we don't know when to. So our decision making and our body, everything gets contracted. On the flip side, yeah, when we can embrace it, and I can get on a court, for example, and be like, you know what, everyone is smiling. That's what I love about pickleball. Everyone is smiling and have a good time. Perhaps I don't need to be scared of this stranger. Perhaps the stranger is going to be really rather friendly. And then I allow myself to embrace it as a challenge to give them the benefit of the doubt and and and give them the opportunity to be a good person and a friend, which they 99.9% of the time are. I then embrace it as a challenge to be friendly back. And that allows me to then be more expressive. I'm not contracted, I'm expressive.
GuyYeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then I can go play my game.
GuyYeah, and kind of relax a little bit, right? Loosen the jaw muscles, loosen the body up a little bit, and and kind of let your shoulders slump just a little bit so you're not so tense. Yeah, I I love the I love what you're saying because I I deal with this in the training world too, when I train, you know, SWAT guys, tactical guys, it is um, you know, fight, flight, or freeze, right? When when we feel like we're being overwhelmed by something. And I I think some people can feel can feel that getting on a pickleball court too, or at least, you know, the shades of that anyhow. And it's it's only when we we back down out of our lizard brain and get into our logical, okay, this is a great place. This is a safe space. Look, like you said, people are smiling and people are laughing and people are having a lot of fun. I can do that too.
SPEAKER_00Right.
GuyI I absolutely love that.
SPEAKER_00Right.
GuySo now you've got a three-step routine that used to calm pre-competition nerves, right? And I don't want you to give away the whole masterclass here. I definitely want people to come and and get more uh and be fed from you even more. But you know, what is what is kind of the I guess the the big picture of that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I've got a few routines depending on the person, but the one I want to share with right now, and I don't know if this is the one you're alluding to. So if it isn't, you bring me back and I can talk about the one you're focused on. So uh we talk about awareness, right? You want to be aware and you don't want to shut yourself down. You don't want to blame yourself or having a doubt. You don't want to get angry at yourself or being anxious or nervous. So I like to say, welcome to the club, right? Like this is normal, this is a human experience. Let's just accept and and and not be upset with myself for thinking or feeling the way I'm thinking or feeling.
GuyYes. Yep. Yeah. That yeah, you're right on it. You're absolutely right on it. And and you know, you w before we started the the recording, we you talked about being a keynote, and I I do some professional public speaking too. And you know, that's a huge scary thing, especially for us introverts. You know, we I put on, I tell, I tell people I'm putting on a costume when I get up there. I'm I'm becoming an actor at that point to be up in front of a large room. I don't know if you feel that same way, but you know, you had to learn pressure the hard way, probably like I did too. You've worked with Olympic skiers, Marriott, U.S. Air Force people. What's the one mental principle that's true, whether you're at the podium or in a boardroom or on the court?
SPEAKER_02What does this moment need for me right now?
GuyOh, wow. Okay.
SPEAKER_02That's the qu that's the question. So w once you start stop being angry with yourself or upset with yourself or disappointed in yourself or having fears, frustrations, worries, anxieties, sadnesses, once you stop trying to be perfect and you know, only think positively. So again, that's that first piece. Like, welcome to the club. This is the human condition, this is the human experience. The next question is now, now that I've kind of let those emotions settle and let those thoughts settle, I've created, I call it doubt tolerance or fear tolerance. I'm tolerating them, not trying to remove them. The next question is, okay, let's get present. Well, how do I get present? I like asking myself questions because then I need to answer that question. What does this moment need for me right now?
GuyThat's so good. That is so good. Uh yeah, and I s you know, you're wrapping it into a package that I can really understand. And uh I teach these principles when I'm when I'm doing a civilian class to, you know, getting into a a public space. And I want you, I like people if they that big box door, you I want you to pull off to the side before you as soon as you walk in the door, and I want you to figure out what that environment is. What are the sights? What are the sounds? What are the smells that are going on right now? What is the general uh how are people interacting with? With each other, and that's that's the norm for that space right there. And then that way you'll see or understand or perceive quicker when the norm is interrupted. And so yeah, I love that. What you're what you're saying is what what does that moment need for me right now? Who what is everybody else doing? And am I allowed to do that? Am I allowed to be in this space in the same way that they are? And you give uh you essentially give yourself permission to.
SPEAKER_00Right.
GuyI love that. Now you your book is personal podium, right? Uh what's the people are gonna buy this? W why do they need it in their life?
SPEAKER_02When it comes to the mindset, when it comes to performance psychology, whether it's in sport or with what you do, law enforcement, right? I mean, that's performance psychology is is very is very important in everything we do. We'll read about a lot of concepts, we'll hear a lot of theories. Personal podium answers the question how? How do I implement these concepts? How do I use these theories? And so every chapter obviously introduces a concept and my take on that concept, but then how do I implement it? And so not only do I give you the steps at the end of every chapter, there's a story of a high performer who used those steps. So then we can now relate and see if we can transfer it into our own lives.
GuyAnd and see it actually working in a real person instead of just a you know concept on paper. Yeah, I love I love that. You know, and I it brings me to the idea, because i even on the podcast, we have different generations, and I'm the greatest generation, Gen X, right? We are the absolute greatest. I know you're with me on that. Um, but do you see um do you see a shift in the generations now from how you would how you would have uh dealt with a Gen Xer, say to you know, Gen Alpha now?
SPEAKER_02I believe concentration is a very difficult skill to develop right now.
GuyYeah. Okay.
SPEAKER_02And I think concentration in any line of work is rather important. We can be motivated, we can have confidence, we can experience emotions, but it's actually the skill of concentration that lets us focus on being confident, that lets us focus on the motivation that's gonna help us, and that lets us focus on the emotion that's going to be most useful. So and because of the world in which we live, everything is coming at us so quick. You can't even read an article online without having ads pop in, right? Like so I I do find in today's day the ability to focus on one thing is something that we need to be really intentional to it's a skill that needs to be intentionally learned and developed. And so that is something that I'm that's a high priority for me.
GuyI I absolutely love that because there is so much noise and and and there's so many things competing for your mind, for your attention, and nothing can happen in the world where you don't know about it immediately nowadays. And I like to tell people we're more connected as a as a species than we ever have been at any other point in human history, but we're actually less connected physically than we ever have been too, because we're you know, we're three feet in front of our face with our screen, and whatever is on that screen based on my algorithm is the absolute truth, and sometimes I can't let other truth or or real truth come in. So, you know, we see that that whole human disconnect, and that's where I think pickleball comes in, especially for military, especially for first responders, but people who you know have that anxiety. Pickleball is that space that allows you to okay, connect to the world again, to connect to people again, to actually have because you have to call it the score, so you're at least going to have a human interaction, right? Physical with the ball and and all that. And so it allows you to take off kind of the weight of the world, the digital world and your digital feelings, and get some real feelings and real chemicals uh injected into you, which I think is just so wonderful and so magical and and so much needed in this world, actually.
SPEAKER_02I couldn't agree with you more, and everyone at any age can play it. It is probably the sport that has the greatest span, right, of age, racket sports and just in general.
GuyYeah, I can I can be beat by an 11-year-old and an 80-year-old in the same day. So that's so amazing to me. Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, yeah. And then I I'm just okay, this is why I'm an introvert. I don't like, you know, this 80-year-old person, this octogenerian, just beat me. I gotta go back into my house and shut off all the lights.
SPEAKER_02I mean, just last just last week I was visiting my family in Canada, and we had my husband, um, so you know, we're midlife, and then we've got my father who's turning 80, and then my nephew who's turning eight. So we're all in the court together.
GuyYeah, absolutely. And it and it's so it's so freaking amazing when you get that, when you allow that into your life. How can people get in touch with you? Where are they going to find you? What's all, you know, what's all the socials and the connectures in the connectors?
SPEAKER_02This is where I'm this is where maybe I am a little old school. I have all the socials, but the best place to find me is my website, just draleyperlis.com, and they'll have access to every all the resources. You can connect with me directly, and all my socials are there.
GuyAwesome. Please, all of you out there in the Big Dink Energy Nation, go find her, go connect to her, get her book. It's gonna, it's gonna enhance your life, it's gonna improve your life, and then go find her on the court, maybe somewhere. Um, not stalker-ish, but just find her on the court somewhere out there. Dr. Haley, thank you so much for being on the Big Dink Energy Podcast. I would, you know, we're gonna have to have you back on because this could be a longer conversation.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, guy. Anytime. It's time for pick six.
GuyPick six, where we each take
Pick 6
Guyone question and we bring two answers and immediately regret agreeing to this segment. Tonight's pick six is this things everybody should be forced to do once before they're allowed to complain about it. Things everybody should be forced to do once before they're allowed to complain about it.
StephanieDrive with kids screaming in the back. Don't complain about people's kids until you've already had one and you've gone through it all.
GuyI like that.
StephaniePopcorn with Tabasco sauce. Nope.
GuyI've done it before. I like it. Direct traffic.
StephanieOh, good one.
GuyYeah, yeah. That is a good one. You want to find the worst of society and the dumbest? Direct traffic. It's for you.
StephanieI would say run a business.
GuyYeah.
StephanieDon't don't complain until you you got it. You try it. Work in customer service. Yes. Good one.
GuyI like that. How about sit through your three-year-old's recital?
StephanieOh god. Thank you for all the three-year-old singing. Yes. Those are so fun.
GuyYes. I love knowing what your kid wants to be when they grow up. It's so fun, astronaut.
StephanieGet more creative. We know that's fake.
GuyI want to be a mommy.
StephanieI'm sorry, you're not going to be able to be an astronaut. It's not a real thing.
GuyYou'd just be an ass. Tro naut.
StephanieOh, God. Oh, if I was a preschool teacher. I'm sorry, honey. You can't be present.
SPEAKER_05That's why you're not. That's why you hire someone to be the preschool teacher.
GuyWhy don't you be Spider-Man while you're at it? Here we go.
StephanieYou could be that for Halloween, like all the other fake stuff. Are we cutting or three-year-olds? I don't know. Okay.
SPEAKER_00News you can use. Let me
News You Can Use
SPEAKER_00toss it over to you, Stephanie.
StephanieUh, stay classy, San Diego. If you think pickleball is just for your local park, think again. The sport is officially entering into its private island era. Holland American Line has partnered with the PPA Tour and Major League Pickleball to launch the first ever private island invitational. On March 13th, 2027, top pro players will compete on four brand new permanent courts built directly on Half Moon K. Holland's America's private island in the Bahamas. So if you want to go, you have to book a spot on the blah, blah, blah, blah, don't know how to pronounce it's cruise ship. It departs on a seven-day Eastern Caribbean itinerary on March 7th, 2027, and docks at the island. What did I say?
GuyCaribbean.
StephanieCaribbean, if it's Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates of the Caribbean.
GuyNot Pirates of the Caribbean.
StephanieYeah. I only I say it different depending on what I'm saying.
GuyOh.
StephanieI don't say Pirates of the Caribbean. No.
GuyMaybe they do.
StephanieBut if I'm going on a cruise, I say to the Caribbean. But the pirates are on the Caribbean.
GuyThere they be.
StephanieThe bonus, if you can't make the exact date, they are running four countdown cruises ahead of time featuring pro player meet and greets and onboard clinics.
GuyWow.
StephanieDid our invitation get lost in the mailing list?
GuyI was gonna say, I gotta check my email real quick. Yeah, probably.
StephanieI think they're gonna call us up to play on the tour.
GuyRing us up, old chop.
StephanieThat would be so cool, though. Booking lines are open, folks.
GuyYeah, we're right here to call it. We'll uh we'll go live from the courtside.
StephanieWe can go live from the Holland America cruise ship. The cruise ship is called new stidos. I don't know how to say it. That's great.
GuyLook at you. Wow. Internet is.
StephanieWell, we can look that up. You can look it up, folks.
