GUY BEVERIDGE (00:00.46)
How about I'm on fire by Bruce Springsteen? Yeah. Hang on a second. get out of my house. Why are you looking at your body? Why you need to know my dad's home? This is Big Dink Energy, the pickleball podcast that's half insight, half nonsense, and all entertainment. If you love pickleball, don't take yourself too seriously and think a little trash talk makes the game better. Welcome home. This is the place where life and pickleball intersect. We celebrate the chaos.

Call out the nonsense and put the fun back in dysfunction. You're either in or you're out. And if you're still listening, you're in. So let's go. Big dink energy starts now. When this baby hits 88 miles an hour, you're gonna see some serious shh. No. This is the Big Dink Energy Podcast, but you are gonna see some serious stuff around here, or maybe just listen to some serious stuff.

Doc Brown, thank you for that intro. Now listen, we are semi pro, but we are the official podcast of pickleball, and we have a sponsor. Sponsor for this episode is Dink and Dash. Let me tell you about it. A little quick story about Dink and Dash. It's a pickleball app, but it's not built for people obsessing over stats and rankings. See, those are those exist out there. They're boring.

It's for people who remember the laughs more than the score. That's you. I'm talking to you right now through your radio. The random wreck night partners, the inside jokes, the how did we end up playing for four hours, nights, the courts, road trips, and people you don't want to forget are all in there. Track your games, tag your pickle pals, earn badges, save the memories, it's free. No ads, no upsells, no annoying pop-ups. It's the most fun you can have with your clothes on. If pickleball has ever become more about the people than the points, this app.

is for you. Go and search Dink and Dash in the App Store or Google Play. I said go search dink and dash in the app store or Google Play. So ladies, all you ladies pop you so let's talk about songs. What? We're gonna talk about songs, right? We're gonna talk about songs that we grew up with. I'm Gen X, of course the best generation, but these are songs I this came up the songs that we had no business singing when we were younger.

GUY BEVERIDGE (02:10.709)
So be thinking about that as you're driving around in your car. But these are songs that that I thought, you know, you guys can go back into your memory banks for your generations. But, you know, we all we all know the two live crew, the easy E, Three Six Mafia, when they talk about inappropriate songs we grew up on. But

Song for song, pound for pound. These were the ones we were screaming in middle school with absolutely no business knowing the lyrics. So ours are probably gonna be different because you know, ours is more like ninety-six, ninety-seven time frame, which mine was Beethoven, right, Mozart. Twist and shout. Fire. Fire. So we were singing these when we were younger, but you you were probably an adult. yeah, Buddy Holly, Chubby Checker. Come on, baby. So

One of the ones that came to my mind is like the title alone should have stopped us. We should not have been singing Six Minutes of Pleasure by Ill Cool Jay. Right. Okay. way to kick it off. Way to kick it off. Business. This was like we thought it was completely normal too. Yeah. So that would be definitely one of mine. Yeah. for me when I when I graduated, don't go look this up, but when I graduated, it was Uncle Luke.

Uncle Luke. I still listen to that. I love Uncle Luke was Uncle Luke. He was a little bit horny, is what he said. Yes, but I love Uncle Luke so much. Yeah. Yeah. Well when that I mean, just the album cover. We had no business having the album cover. For sure. The album cover alone and then and then all the songs on there. No business. No business listening to that. Yeah, because I was junior high. Right. Like, the best. Yeah.

What about you, Paddle Princess? I know it's mostly country for you. No, I mean I did listen to rap and pop music once I got into like junior high and high school. obviously genuine. pony. Like pony. none of none of us knew Yeah, none of us knew what was happening with this. Right. Anything by Yin Yang twins was just like done. The best. Luta

GUY BEVERIDGE (04:11.136)
We shouldn't have been listening to anything by Luda. Still the best. What is a good one? How about whistle while you twerk? I mean, come on. Whistle while you twerk. I mean, like we should not have been screaming that in our car as we're driving. How about Divinals? I don't know what that is. touch myself. Yeah, no.

Yeah, absolutely wild. Like what in the world? Well, it's important, you know Zero awareness at that point. Especially nowadays in your age, it is important to do a mammogram, give yourself exam. I think that's what it was called. I don't think it was about a mammogram. No, I don't think it was. How about how about okay, think of like you're slow dancing, like you just got divorced in junior high and your boys to men all make love to you.

Like what? Right. Why why is this slow dance song? Exactly. Yeah. And this one, okay, this one is country and might be a little controversial here, but honestly, fancy. I was just gonna say fancy. okay. I think that fancy is not. I'm so proud of fancy.

Yeah. I'm so proud of her. Hey girl. We are proud I'm gonna need you to support the family with your booty. Go downtown. We can be proud of her as an adult. But like strawberry wine. How about I'm on fire by Bruce Springsteen? Yeah. So yeah, I mean. Okay, baby Briarly. Creeper, get out of my house. Why do you need to know if my dad's home? Are you guys gonna bond or something?

And even like I like it, I love it by Tim McGraw. Like that song, I mean, growing up, I remember my cousin asked my uncle one time. She was like, Daddy, what does that mean? And he was like that guys just want beer and sex. And I was like, Okay, that's a trauma response for me. So now every time I hear that song, that's all I see. But I mean, there's just so many songs where it's like, Yeah. And like a lot of why were we blaring that? Like salt and pepper songs. yeah. And From the Windows.

GUY BEVERIDGE (06:18.05)
to the wall I we all know I was an adult I was an adult adult I was I was in junior high yeah but I remember being in eighth grade on the playground screaming that song at the top of our lungs like in a big group like three songs in junior high that I remember the most because I did the instrumental version of them in my dance class. Of course you did one would be Wild Thing by Tone Logan. Yeah yeah the other one was Funky Cole Medina and the other one was And No Plans with a man. The other one was

Here, kitty, kitty, here, kitty, kitty, kitty. kitty kitty. I love me some 69 boys. yeah. In high school, part of my cheer, like our cheer music for competition had a part of baby got back in it. Yeah. And that's like I did like the whip at the end was when I did my basket toss. Like, I'm like, okay. This guy just looking back, like, that is so inappropriate for me to doing a toe-touch basket toss.

During that whip. But the no, no. He I I object. Because he was just a man with a snake who liked bread. That is true. Yeah. And if you think about all these songs that we're naming, they're still so popular even today. Yeah, because our generation was the best. My generation, I know. But so now I want to bring up also, because I am of that generation, MTV, inappropriate videos, perhaps. you down with OPP. Yeah. Y'all go back and watch that video. I said, what is she rinsing out in that?

Sink. my god. Yes. I watched that the other day and I was like, I can't believe I used to idolize because like dirty I would turn it on on TRL the moment I got home from school and had it blaring. I cannot believe that. Like I would never let Sorry. were y'all traumatized or maybe not traumatized is the right word for me, but Darling Nikki?

By Prince. well, yeah, a lot of Prince was a lot of in the windows. Right. because I have a a really like favorite song of his, but it's not appropriate at all. Which one? we'll just leave it at that. Okay. She said, It has to do with having some type of control. But even like Rihanna with like whips and chains. S and by Rihanna? Yes. Like

GUY BEVERIDGE (08:32.198)
that is the best. No one's You know, one of my favorite songs of hers is Breaking Dishes. You wanna talk about getting getting some you know. Yep. Fight on. I love it. That's like my umbrella, Ella, Ella. Wha hot for teacher.

Van Hill. Yes. Such a great video too. But why is your teacher at the strip club? Exactly. Well, if they weren't getting paid a lot back in those days. Well, they're not getting paid a lot now either. And what's what is wrong with her? I mean, she's just trying to pay her bills. She is just trying to pay her Why are you shaming this young girl? But what an inappropriate so inappropriate. Let's put some coin on the loin. How about ragdoll by Aerosmith? Yes. Like, mm-mm. Yeah. Ragdoll, Daddy's Little Cutie. I'm sorry.

What? Yeah. I mean, he likes his daughter. What's going on here? Why are we singing these songs? Cherry Pie by Warrant. The best the video. I l I love it though. Why do I love all this? Yeah. Like sh the song Short Dick Man. Whoa, whoa. Whoa. Tony. my goodness. The language around here. No. that's one minute man. Don't want no. That's one minute man. twenty fingers. No one minute man.

Yep. Don't want no want no. Yep. I like I like that song too. White snake. for sure. Yeah, here I go again. Absolutely that. The tawny catane. And it had the hood scene. Yeah. And we can go back to country with what is it? Hotter than a hoochie coochie. What's a hoochie coochie? Chata Hoochie from Alan Jackson. What's that? Could you all let me know? But it's hotter than that. Yeah. hotter than that. Like Texas is hot. How much wood could a woodchuck chow? How hot is a hoochie coochie? Get up in our socials.

Okay. Like I have a t shirt that says that now. If you're from the Chattahoochee, would you get up on our socials and show us your Hoochie Gucci? Yeah, so many things. So many things. George Michael, I want your sex. This all good song. Don't don't don't. All good song. Or father figure. I mean, come on now. What is what was going on? Like a virgin. Yes. Right. Yeah. yes. And like a prayer. Like, is she just like singing these? Like we knew the words, but

GUY BEVERIDGE (10:43.756)
Back then I don't think we knew like to the extent of what the meaning was. Right. Because if you're singing like a prayer, I'll take you there. Where are you taking? Where are we going? Are we in an Uber? What are we doing? or the one. What is the one We're going to Benegins? What is the one when she's having my baby? yeah. Papa, don't preach. Yes, yes. I'm in trouble, double deep. ma'am.

What are we doing? Plan B, what's going on here? I love all these songs. I am so excited to make a playlist. yeah. yeah. I'm big a Spotify playlist. I like even Barbie Girl and attach it to this podcast Spotify playlist. Barbie Girl, come on, Barbie. Let's go party. I mean we survived it. I mean that's like drinking from the water hose. We survived all these things. That's why kids are softer. That's why they're getting the snack. I remember being in junior high singing genie in a bottle.

You gotta rub me the right way. Like, excuse me, ma'am. You had to get three wishes. Wish number one. yeah. And then Juvenile asked me to back something up. yeah. Right. Let me tell you, if that song comes on, done. You done. I am done. You just need to hear the one, two, boom, and you're out. Like you're you are on the floor, whether it's in your kitchen or in the gym. Like thong song, back in here. Like all here, all of that by Nelly. I mean it everything.

I don't have the knees for it, but little John asked me to get low. All of them are. Okay, any any chance any of these are showing up at Booty on the Court at PickleCon? No. although I wish that that we could. Now, when I travel and do other type dancing, yes, we could do that. absolutely. If you want it at your court, I mean you can request whatever you want, Booty on the court. Definitely theme nights. If you want to do hip hop, 70s, 80s, 90s, girls' nights. Love that. Yeah. All that kind of fun stuff, we'll be dancing to all.

All right, tell us what you think. Get all up in our comments in the socials at where is it, ladies? BD Podcast.com. I'm a make a Spotify. We're gonna make a playlist.

GUY BEVERIDGE (12:51.672)
Zip that's the zipper of the fan mail bag. Let me dig down in here for a second and find one. There's so many to choose from. This one's from Matt Siegel. Matt Siegel, who is a duper 1.0 on a good day. Welcome to the club, Matt. Same. Welcome. Duper, get all up in my stuff because I'm a solid one point five, actually. so come on and sponsor me when you want to launch the one point fives. but Matt says this I officially have proof that BDE podcast has completely taken over my brain.

I caught myself humming the just a tip song at the office this morning out loud in front of my coworkers. Way to do it. Yeah. Embrace it, Matt. That's awesome. Please tell me that's normal and not check into a clinic territory. Totally normal, my guy. In all seriousness, the half hour I spend in the car with you guys is the best part of my week. Thanks for that and keep going. Thanks, Matt. That's the encouragement we need. Thanks, Matt. We love that.

Just the tip. Just the tip. Quick pickleball wisdom in and out before you know it. This week our tip comes from Tiffany Kay, who says, don't crowd the line when receiving a serve. And this is very timely because when I was playing with Guy yesterday, we had a little argument over it. But if you want to see that, you're gonna have to go to Instagram and look at the video. Thank you, Tiffany. I'll make sure Guy knows. Thanks.

GUY BEVERIDGE (14:14.215)
It's time for pickle pals.

GUY BEVERIDGE (14:19.8)
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So last time you may remember this guy. Last time John or Apple John, aka Noisy was on the show, episode thirty-eight, back in October. We talked about flannel, trolls, and viral vibes. Go listen to that one later, but listen to this one right now. Seven months later, he's back with an update. Noisy events is what we're gonna be talking about today. Making three O's feel like pros. I love that. Company fundraisers, court donations, and nets and neighborhoods program from Fleming Island, Florida.

The evolution of noisy pickleball is here today. Yes. John. Yes, sir. Love you being here, brother. Appreciate you guys having me back. Guy, you need to start like a podcast or something with those intros, brother. You I here's the thing. Eventually someone is gonna pay me to follow them around and just introduce them. Listen, you might be our guy for noisy events. So let's go, baby. Yeah, let's go. I'll bring the hype. I'll bring the hype for sure. Putting that one on the agenda, my man. Put me top.

Top five for sure. Yes. So man, I gotta talk about noisy events, man. First and foremost, I gotta know what this is. Our our listeners definitely need to know what it is. I'm so excited about this just in the in the little briefings that I've seen so far. So tell us, tell us what it is. Awesome. Yeah, man. It's the the buzz is catching and the and the vibe is there. So you're seeing it. I'm sure you and everybody listening, you guys have at this point experienced a pickleball tournament.

or event of some kind that you went to and just felt was very lackluster for you know lack of better description. It you paid a good bit of money, I'm sure 70 to 100 and some dollars. You left maybe with nothing, maybe with a medal if you were lucky. You probably didn't have much in the way of you know music or or energy. You may have been completely lost just during your games, waiting for the next one.

you don't have much food and drinks. Most of what I go to, you know, there's not even like bananas and Gatorade for the players. So we have me and my partners Josh and Michaela, over the last year, I'd say with the events that we are going to and the things we're experiencing, we found that there's this hole in in tournaments and in events. Everything I just mentioned. And that's a over across the board, like that's a an experience. And

GUY BEVERIDGE (16:35.234)
The biggest piece of pickleball right now is the the rec players. The pro market is what it is. It's pee they have their fans, they have their, you know, they have their viewers. But let's be real, how many of us are really gonna become pros that love this game? You know? Yeah, yeah, absolutely. Us us two five to three five level around their players, we feel that there's a a hole missing where we can bring in music, we can bring in high energy, we can bring in good vibes.

We can bring in some contests and some giveaways so that people in the stands can win things just like the people on court. We're gonna bring medal, we bring catered food, we bring drone footage, we bring hologram displays. We are trying to make this something that makes these pickleball events and tournaments memorable. We want this to be.

I love pickleball Nikki and what she's doing with her joy pledge. We want that to be a part of things. Like we want this energy and this vibe. You're hearing all these people talk about, you know, the better you get at pickleball, the the the worse it gets and the more fun you lose out on. Yep. We're not about that. That's not a noisy event. It's exactly the opposite. So, I mean, in a nutshell, without giving everything away, like that's it. We want high energy, we want music. We want you to walk into this event.

And know that you are somewhere different. You're gonna do the things you love to do and and pickleball's gonna bring us all together. But we've got something that we're trying to offer to make it memorable.

You know. I love this. you're you are giving pickleball. I'm gonna I'm gonna use a couple analogies here. So you're giving pickleball the monster truck treatment. Yes. Monster truck show treatment. Sunday, Sunday, Sunday. Honey ball on Saturday, Saturday, Saturday. Yes. Yes. And then also you're you're the you're bringing the Savannah Banana energy to this thing too. You're you're just absolutely shadow. My best friend just said that the other day, and I told him we were gonna use it.

GUY BEVERIDGE (18:37.408)
Yes, you nailed it. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, what a turnaround for that. I actually want to watch baseball. I actually want to go to a baseball game. And you said something so important there that I I don't want people to miss. And I and I think it's it's probably the bigger part of this. The thing for the people that are there watching, the thing for the, you know, fans in there. it's great to be on the court. It's great to play. It's great to do all that kind of stuff. But if I you know, if I've got my family there or people showing up to watch, what's in it for them? Right.

You know, that so that's so frickin' important, man. I love that. Awesome. That's and that's that's what we're trying to do. I mean, you see them on TV, you see the fans dancing and bringing the signs and having fun and doing their thing, but that's it. They get their second on the camera and that's it. That should be part of the experience, you know? Like that should be something. And we're also working on our own little version of the game. Think of like slam ball and XFL and arena football meets pickleball.

Hindrances are legal as it with vocal hindrances and we encourage heckling from the sidelines. It it's coming. So it's being worked and built right now. So we're shooting to have our like our whole own type of pickleball game at these events too. So I I love it. You're you're you're you know, you're weeks away from being on ESPN eight the Ocho.

Right after dodgeball. Let's go. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I knew you'd get that reference right away, man. Dodge a dink and a wrench. I man, this is this is so right up your alley. Now, you know, back in October we talked. I mean, you're you're in the sport, you're, you know, looking at sponsors and people sending you stuff and trying out different gear. I loved your whole series on on the Beezer and all that and and and all your shots into the net.

So what's what caused the shift? Was it just you saw a gap or was it, man, I'm just I'm tired of these mediocre tournaments? I mean a little bit of both, honestly. We've been spent I've I've spent my good bit of, you know, 75 and $100 tickets on my own events. we're seeing them as well as we're just I'm hearing from other players. Hey, man, what you asked them about the tournament they went to, they can't they can't give you anything about it. Yeah, it was last weekend. We either won or we didn't. Like that's all you hear.

GUY BEVERIDGE (20:52.118)
So yeah, that mixed with just what we're seeing online. I don't wanna just be another voice in the crowd of of pickleball. There's already guys like John Q doing their data analysis and their in-depth reviews. There's there are you guys and there's the podcast crew. There's the people who are doing the on court advice and tips and w I don't wanna fit in with just everybody else. We wanna have something that kind of draws some attention and and

you know, brings in a little bad boy and girl of pickleball energy, you know? I yeah, absolutely I I totally see the vision for that. You know, 'cause I the difference between the PPA and the MLP. You know, I look at that and I think, well, MLP you could just be a little bit

a little bit better or I don't know worse. I don't know how people look at it. But I'm I always thought like, okay, MLP is getting close to having the guys in the stands with the with the beer helmets on, right? Two beers on either side of the drinking tube. Let's let's take it to that next level, you know? Let's let's get the people out there pulling up their shirt and scratching their belly buttons. Let's get them driving their monster trucks up to the up to the pickleball courts. I mean, let's make it a frickin' event, man. I mean, let's have fun with this thing. Yeah, sure. Let's score some points.

But gosh, I mean, when I if I'm giving away my weekend to something or at least a day out of my weekend and and it may have a cause attached to it, I want to show up and really feel like I got something out of it, man. And this is so fantastic. Yep. You're seeing what, you know, Asia and all these places are doing with their gosh. Yeah. Did you see that spectacle? I listen, I listened to your show and I went and watched the episodes. I found the videos. Like that stuff's incredible. That's what it should be. So

Yeah. That mixed with we it got to a point where we said, okay, we our group wants to, our group of rec players want to go to tournaments, but a lot of them have never been there. They don't know what to do, and they're scared to spend this money to play with people who they're just gonna get beat on and dog walked all day. So our group said, We can put on an event. Let's try this, let's do it. And the feedback that we got when they walked in, the first guy walked in and said,

GUY BEVERIDGE (22:59.788)
Wow, this is like a real tournament, a real event, isn't it? I said, You didn't know what you were coming to. And from then on, it it exploded and wet we said we have something here and Noisy Events was born here.

Yeah, and I think for courts who are listening, for you know, for tournament organizers that are listening, this is you've gotta be paying attention right now because I am if if I'm having a good time, if the if the drinks are flowing and the music is right and everything is vibing right and it's at a hundred or or a thousand X level, especially if you're connected to some sort of event or charity, I'm opening my wallet just a little bit more for you. I'm and I'm and I'm gonna seek out membership. I'm gonna tell people about it. You you can't even pay for the amount.

social media I'm gonna give as a as a as a user at your event. That's it. That's the power of the word of mouth is still the best power that we have out there. And with how fast things move on social media now, we are so all connected, so easy. It you see how quickly pickleball Nikki and I got an event together and met up. You guys all meeting at PickleCon, like it yeah so easy to just send a message and get this stuff going. So

The amount of people that are on board and ready and excited and hear what we're, you know, the idea that we're have and what we're trying to build and that are just saying, Yes, let me in. I wanna participate. you know, I I gotta shout out those guys too, because they're if without them, yeah, you know, fueling this, it it it's it's not gonna become what it is. And right now I feel like is the best time to do it.

So I also want to talk about the nets of neighbors. walk me kind of through that and what's going on with that. So that was a fundraiser that we did. One of the neighborhood facilities that we play at, who we've been playing now for more than a year, their nets were just being they had, you know, the roll away nets type temporary nets set up, just being outside in Florida and us playing on them, and they were just beat. They were shredded, they were falling apart mid game.

GUY BEVERIDGE (25:04.332)
And for the last couple of months, though, I mean, we meet there at least once or twice a week. And everybody just complaining, hey, we can't even do this. We don't want to meet here anymore. So my sponsor, Crown Athletica, for our pickleballs, happened to be going through a a rebranding with their stuff. We got some temporary nets hooked up from them, which was super awesome. We put a fundraiser together in literally about two hours to raise the money for these nets.

We had them shipped in. And in the week later, as soon as they got there, we planned this potluck and this awesome event where everybody brought food. We gave away a couple of the crown balls. We have extra nets that we're going to be giving away at some point. Like it it turned out so good. Last night we were at those courts. Not only do the nets look so awesome, but it was the first time we were there. And three other groups of people showed up at 8:30 and nine o'clock at night. So like

those those nets and that energy is drawing people in that were not there before. And that's exactly what we were trying to do. So man, we donated some nets to Rolling Hills facility and to their members as a thank you for letting us come and have a safe place to play this game that we love and get together. And it was really, really cool. So shout out Crown Athletica and and noisy events and the rest of my crew and the people from Rolling Hills that's we did it.

It was so awesome. So Heck yeah, dude. Add and that's what to the to the to the the docket, you know? Yeah, yeah, that's that's the new resume. That's that's definitely going on the resume for sure. What so I mean

So success at One Court, I bet you you can recreate that success, or you could help people recreate that. I mean, I mean, there's 24 hours in a day, so I'm sure you're not using all those for work. So, you know, what's what's another, you know, side little hustle like this? Man, we're here. We're gonna be on I got I got an opportunity to be on the blocks boot camp coming up in November, which if nobody knows, because I had never heard, they're on their twenty fifth season. It's a reality show, meets documentary, meets game show for entrepreneurs. Yes. So if you're familiar with the real

GUY BEVERIDGE (27:12.248)
World and Road Rules. the character Wes on there from way back when he's actually the mastermind that built this around COVID, and we got accepted. So noisy events is going to be on the show coming up in November. We go for filming in Tulsa. So we're hoping to take our events on there. And through that, I've already talked to people in Georgia and other places that they're all about let hey, where can we come plan this event? I got the community.

I have friends with the owner of the pickleball facility. Bring it on. So yeah, it's a matter of time. So Yeah, no k well yeah, we're ready for you out here in Texas. selfishly, selfishly I am for sure, just to just just to get you out here and hang out. so I mean you were already content creating your the TikTok, the Instagram, everywhere that you can put content. But now with noisy events, that's that's gonna amplify, that's gonna change. What what's the

You know, what's that look like? well, I'm still gonna keep doing my thing on the side, but I feel like the events are going to take care of the content in itself. That's also something that we're we're offering with these events, is like a media package. So when you leave the event, you have some videos and pictures to look back on and see the good time that you had. So from the people participating to the brands that are gonna be showcased.

to the content and the the just the vibe and the energy that's going on at this place. I feel like us just walking around, you know, with cameras and then making a hashtag or getting people to tag the event and all that stuff, like that's just gonna take care of itself in so many different aspects and angles and and that's exactly what we're hoping to do, you know?

Yeah, all all the barriers you can break down for people's, you know, supporting you and sharing. I mean, when you start breaking those barriers down and make it easy, low hanging fruit, people will do it. They will show up. They and it's and this is gonna be one of those events where they definitely wanna let people know they were there for sure. For what happened. You're gonna have things take home with you. You're gonna have a golden pickleball maybe at some point to take home. You're gonna have, you know, we won the noisiest crew in the audience awards. Like

GUY BEVERIDGE (29:21.43)
Yeah, man. And and and what a better place to share it than on the Dink and Dash app. I wanna make sure I shout those guys out. selfishly, selfishly. I I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight if I didn't mention Dink and Dash app.

where we're gonna share everything. And I s I think you're gonna see a lot of noisy event stuff on there as well. Some behind the scenes stuff we're gonna be talking about. Apple John, anything we didn't cover? Anything you wanna make sure that we get out to the public? man, I there's probably so much we didn't cover, but it's coming. The the the events are coming. Noisy events are here and open for booking. If you guys are somewhere where we can arrange the travel or you're close to Florida and Jacksonville and Fleming Island, we got Toontown and some facilities here.

Let's get Let's get collaborated and and and planned and and let's make happen because noisy events is here to make some to make some noise in the pickleball space, baby. Let's do it. Yeah. Okay. How are people gonna connect with you? What's all the socials? What's all the handles? So noisy pickleball dot com is being built as we speak. So that will be the hub. But for now, noisy pickleball on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok. My link tree is on there. So if you need to get a hold of me, I I respond to messages. I'm pretty easy to get a hold of, but

Website's coming that should be up shortly, and that's gonna be the place to do it all. Awesome. Go find all that. Now the only pitch I have, here's the only pitch I have w to add to these events is the Big Dink Energy sponsored shock collar match. where all players wear a shock collar. We just have to figure out who has the controller. yes. I'm so down. Yes. I'm in. We got it. We're gonna have to have some kind of special waiver for that one, but I'm yeah, yeah, yeah. Go for it. Yeah. Awesome.

All right, Applejohn, thanks so much for being on the Big Think Energy Podcast. Love you, brother. And we'll be watching you and everything you do. Thanks so much, man. Appreciate it. It's time to pick six.

GUY BEVERIDGE (31:13.664)
You are right, Mr. Announcer Guy. It is time for pick six. Pick six is where we take one question, each bring two answers and immediately regret to doing anything here. so today's pick six that you can play along with at home is things that should be allowed on the PPA Tour, the Pro Pick a Ball Tour, things that should be allowed on the PPA tour. Immediately I thought of walk up songs before matches. Like WWE energy. I think it would be amazing. So fine. I Christian Echelon would kill it. Yeah.

I'd say mic'ed up players. I would want everybody to be mic. That would be so fun to just hear what everybody actually is saying during the match. I was saying a shirts and skins. First You gotta You gotta win the toss. Mixed double's gonna get a little crazy out there. I like that. I feel like maybe one official trash talk timeout, like where you can just go off. Yes. And then it's like, okay, time in. No, I'm done.

All right, I'm gonna go with the challenge flag. Mm. I wanna throw a flag. from the stands. No, I want them to throw a flag. And they're like, no, that line call was wrong. I'm gonna challenge it. I gotcha. Well they have challenge. Okay. But like not a flag. I want them to throw a flag. I wanna throw a ball. Like at someone's head. At somebody's head. I challenge you, throw it at your head. Yeah, I can see the challenge flag from the from the crowd too. That'd be kind of that'd be a lot of flags. Yeah. No, I mean you'd have to limit it. You'd have to limit it and stuff like that. Okay, so the last one, and I've been sh I have been

Shilling this. I've been trying to sell this to somebody for a long time. Y'all know what it is. And I don't know how to to to to make it happen, but shock collars for the players. You wear a dog shock collar. I don't know who has the controller. I don't know how to, you know, all the logistics of that. But my gosh, that's got that's got to be impeccable. Okay. That's different. Tell me y'all hey, get up at the comments. Tell me you wouldn't watch that shock collars. S and Rihanna.

GUY BEVERIDGE (33:10.518)
News you can use.

And we're gonna toss it over to Stephanie. I was pretty good at that. Anyways, this feels like this feels like one of the most Florida pickleball stories ever. But a great blue heron in Florida somehow ended up with a pickleball stuck in his beak. So the bird was unable to eat, and rescuers in Tampa spent several days tracking it down before finally getting the ball removed safely. So the heron is okay now.

But let this be your reminder to pick up your stray pickleballs and trash after the games. But you should know even wildlife is getting caught up in pickleball now. Maybe the bigger lesson is don't put your beak where it doesn't belong. Huh, herons? You hear me out there, herons?

Don't come before me, Heron Communion. I don't know that it it it rhymes with Karen, so maybe they're maybe they're the Karen's of the birds. No, because they look what if it picked up. Right that e that What were you gonna do with what were you gonna do with the pickleball heron? Don't like do something with fish? Yes. They like go get or something.

Yes, that's what it is. They walk into the store with place, yeah. Look at how smart I am. Wow. Don't they do something with fish? Yeah, all birds do. Yeah. Hey, welcome to the nature side of the Big Dink Energy Podcast. National Geographic over here. You thought you weren't gonna learn anything? No. You are. Herons do something with fish. Go ahead and make sure you have that for trivia. Do something with fish. If you have a trivia night, keep that one tucked away.

GUY BEVERIDGE (34:41.196)
Herons and fish. I thought it was cool though that they they tracked it down and and made sure it got removed though. Yeah, that is good. Because I remember in like junior high when we would cut the six pack little things. Yes, so the turtles didn't get their heads. Yeah. So that's what it remembers. I still do that. That's I know. It's like triggers. Right. Because you did it for someone. It's like ingrained in my brain. Do you not know what we're talking about? What are you talking about? Like with the six pack, the plastic

Six pack of like bottles cut because it was. Because we saw those really sad commercials with Sarah McLaughlin and stuff. Yeah. I don't know if she was for the turtle. I would cut like every single little. But yeah, so do that with your balls. Don't leave your pickleballs out. Excuse me. Don't cut your balls. I'm saying cut your balls. Excuse me. This is protect the heron. Some more health and human services here. Protect the the birds that eat the fish. Yeah, don't let a heron get your balls, I'll tell you that much. He will fly around with it. Heron balls.
